Don't just read about sport and recreation, get out and get active!

Welcome to the St Laurence Master Games Volunteer program. The Games will host 70+ sports across more than 80 venues. The event will attract up to 10,000 participants to take part in ten days of social activities and entertainment delight!
To support Australia's largest multisport festival we need the help of volunteers in a range of positions. You may need to do some work experience for a tertiary subject, might want to gain some valuable skills or you might just feel like contributing to the community and being a part of the excitement of the Games.
Did you know the Australian Masters Games will host more sports and participants than the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games? To find out more go to www.australianmastersgames.com/index.php?id=230

Following on from the success of Midnight Basketball, Norlane Neighbourhood House, City of Greater Geelong, Corio Norlane Neighbourhood Renewal, Leisure Networks, Victoria Police and Corio Bay Senior College are organising “Midweek Basketball” as an opportunity for some of the young people involved to come together to improve and learn new skills as well as catching up with friends.
Funding has been sought to pay for a coach to come to Corio Bay Senior College Tuesday afternoons during Term 4 to work with a maximum of 20 young people (registered Midnight Basketball players only), however volunteers will be the most important part of the success of this program.
For more information, please see attached details and registration form or call Kirsten from Corio Norlane Neighbourhood Renewal on 03 5278 2881. |
